National Blog Posting Month- November 2008
Well, it’s November 1st and I’m recommitting myself to writing at least one post a day for the next 30 days. I want to thank the folks at www.nablopomo.com for organizing this event and all my fellow bloggers who are participating this month. Although it sounds simple enough, I’ve found this commitment has a way of showing you how easy it is for every day life things to get in the way of my writing.
I’ve tried it before and never seem to make it past the first two weeks. However, always something seems to come up and I miss a day or two. Well, not this time. I’ve got a plan and I’ve got good ideas written down. So, I’m keeping my fingers crossed and carving out daily writing time on my agenda.
I plan to finish up the Dad Essentials first series focused on teaching the fine art of shaving with a straight razor and then moving on to showcase dads from around the world that I find extraordinary examples of dads. I’m also going to start a series where I answer questions my readers pose to me. And, a few other things that hopefully are as interesting for you to read as they are cathartic for me to write.
With this post, I begin the journey.
All the best

Saturday is a rough day for me time wise. With soccer and baseballs games, birthday parties and just spending time with the family, it becomes very difficult to sit down at the computer and type out a thoughtful post. I knew it was going to be difficult committing to the NaBloPoMo.
But darn it, I’m sticking to it so… “tag” I wrote something today. I will circle back and write something more meaningful if I can find some time today. If not, Sundays are more lazy. I’ll be back then.
All the best

Well, I’m trying it again.
A year or two ago, I jumped into all the excitement surrounding NaBloPoMo- National Blog Posting Month. NaBloPoMo is a joint commitment by bloggers to make a post every day of the month.  Unfortunately, I think I fell off the wagon the first week!
I’ve decided to try to redeem myself by giving it another whirl this month….
So, drum roll please! This is the first post!
All the best
P.S. I promise that subsequent posts will be more substantive.
