Well, I made a list…

I’m delighted to report that the fine folks at Blogs.com asked me to put together a list of my Top 10 Daddy Bloggers. I did so and today was notified that it’s up on their Top 10 section. Please go have a look.

I’m honored they asked me to put together such an esteemed list, but I gotta tell ya, it was hard. Over the years, I’ve come to respect so many fathers out there that care enough about their children that they decide to start a blog about their experience. Some are awesome and some are your every day, blocking and tackling father stuff. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that a man is taking up the banner of fatherhood and showing the world that he loves his kids.

I tip my virtual hat to not only the ten I listed but all those other daddy bloggers that have the guts to share their experience with the world. Well done, men.

Another update to the Definitive Daddy Blog List

Well, it’s happened again. I’ve gone and updated the Definitive Daddy Blog List with five more daddy’s out there. Thanks to all of you that made me aware of them.

Those added are:

  1. Inn of the Last Home – a blog by a daddy really about almost everything.
  2. Six-fingered Monkey – another good blog about life by a dad.
  3. One Dad’s Life – close in name to mine, this blog focuses on being a dad.
  4. Daddy Dan – another excellent daddy-focused blog. Thanks for the mention, btw!
  5. Mitch McDad’s World – zany (in a good way) doesn’t begin to explain it. Go take a look.

We are now up to 189 daddy blogs.  Please, if you know any that are not there, let me know.

The Definitive Daddy Blog List – Updated

My fellow fathers,

I want to let you know that I’ve updated The Definitive Daddy Blog List by adding three very good blogs by dedicated dads.

The first is Daddy Rockstar. It’s a magazine-style blog written Geoff Manning and his brother-in-law. The wonderful thing is that Geoff isn’t even a dad yet! He’s expecting May 2008 (let me know how it goes, Geoff!). Nevertheless, the blog has some great articles in it dealing with issues that all dad’s have or will have to manage at some point. It’s a great blog and I highly recommend it.

The second is The Bundlo Blog by Mark Barry. Mark started to use the Bundlo Blog as a place to share his experiences with fatherhood and entrepreneurship. He’s doing a great job with it. I’ve learned about Wateroos and Ninja Warrior by reading it. Good job Mark!

Lastly, I’ve added Goo Goo Dadda by David Newman. David is a new daddy blogger and SAHD (stay-at-home-dad for those of you that aren’t familiar with the popular letters). He’s having tremendous fun with his daughter and he’s doing a wonderful job of documenting and sharing on his blog. Please check it out.

As always, if you know of a blog that I’ve not listed, please let me know. My next challenge will be to go through the 177 blogs on the list and cull out any inactive ones. But, that may take me a while…
