Typical family day

I’m working in Mexico City. I’m going to take a beating from a client that suffered poor service by my company. Oh well.  I’m more concerned about catching my flight that will put me home at 9 pm tonight.

The CPA wife got the kids to school, is going to try to get a quick workout in and then continue to pack everyone, including me, so that we can leave tomorrow.  We’re going to the mountains of North Carolina for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Kids will get home later and spend a long time doing today’s and tomorrow’s homework because they will lose a day of school.

Such is modern day life…

  1. This TOTALLY sounds normal to me!

BTW, just remember that the beating you take is not personal, and in fact this is a great chance to really shine and leave a good impression of both you AND your company. Good luck!

  2. Hey,

Thanks for that, Gregg. You’re absolutely right.

I’m at the airport ready to go home now but the meeting went as expected. He complained, I listened and told him I understood his frustration with us. We then moved on and agreed to do more business.
